How to Set Up Your Media Player
Connecting the media player to your TV:
Steps:
- Remove your media player, power adapter, HDMI cable and remote from the original packaging.
- It is recommended you set your media player in a position least visible to your customers.
- Plug in a USB mouse and keyboard, next, the HDMI cable from the box to your television and last, the power adapter that came with your device.
- If your TV comes equipped with HDMI-CEC (and it’s enabled), the media player will turn on your TV and switch to the correct input. Once booted, the TV will be waiting at the app login prompt.
Setting up WiFi:
It is strongly advised to use an Ethernet (hard wired) connection for all business critical devices. These media players do come with 802.11ac wireless capabilities if this is not an option.
Steps:
- Move your mouse to the top of the screen, left-click and drag down. You should now see a status bar at the top of the screen (pictured below).
- Left-click the status bar and pull down once more, there should now be a box with the time and date (pictured below).
- Drag the box with the time and date down and click the wifi dropdown button (pictured below).
- Wait for the wifi connections to load and click your dedicated wifi connection.
